I've just verified my website with google and I have a couple of options to inbed the verification code into my website

One is using a metatag in my header but I already have metatags embedded and it doesn't recognise a second metatag.

The second way is to download a file from google and then upload that file to my site. I've done this but it still is not recognising the file when I go to re publish my site. I clicked "edit" "add new file" and copied and pasted the google file to there.

It did work when I only used the google matatag but I need the other tags there too so now I'm stumped.

Can you help please??

The easiest way to do this is go to the Settings Menu > Add Files and include the file Google gave you.

Did you try putting the Google meta tag above your other tags so it's first?

I use the html tool in VSD and add the html code to the box it creates.

I then drag the box across the top of my home page as a visible reminder where my code is

I also do the same for yahoo code so i have two boxes side by side across the page.

Bit amateurish i know, but it works for am amateur like me !
