Google Docs widget in VSD?
I was wondering if it's possible to insert a Google Docs widget into VSD using the Html tool or some other technique. I have two pages on my website that I'll be constantly updating with new textual information (which I'll be adding to the text that is already there), and I didn't want to have to upload a new version of my website every time I update one or both of these pages. I also like the Google Docs capability of displaying all of my text on one page and being able to scroll through it rather than needing to have multiple pages to display all of the text.

I forgot to mention that I'm currently using VSD 6.06, but I'm thinking of upgrading to the latest version 7 build when I have time to make sure doing so will not cause me a lot of problems and use up a lot of my time. I know this seldom happens with CC software, but you just never know!

I can say right off the bat that because you have not gone through the maintenance updates, the version you are using is very old. While we took as many precautions as we could, you may have some things you need to address. What those are really are unique to your website. Just make sure to fully uninstall 6.06 before you install the latest version.
You can download the latest version(7.0 Build 24) from the My Products page on our website. Upon installing the new version to your computer, it is best to instantly open your website using the new version and click File > Save As to save the project to a new location. This will apply all version changes to your website!

Although this update to Visual Site Designer has made vast improvements to the markup and how the site will display in different browsers and operating systems, there are a few things you should take a look at.

I don't think they will work. I tried to locate some sort of embed code on their website, but all I can find is a file with an extension of .gg Without some sort of HTML code, I cannot see how it could be added to an existing website.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the prompt replies. If I can't insert a Google Docs widget, is there any other way to do what I'd like to do using some other applet, widget, or whatever?

As long as the widget has some sort of HTML code, then you can use the HTML Tool for that.

Thanks, Scott. I have an assistant working on this for me (actually, she's the one who suggested it), so I'll have her check into this further with the additional info you gave me.
