I've done a complete new file for the website. There should be nothing wrong with all the trials and errors, yet that message keeps coming up. How I wish for real time save at times like this, or at least a new backup copy generated.

You're not alone
I've had this happen most recently when trying to add on to existing text, but at the start of a paragraph/sentence. The paragraph was close to an HTML box, so maybe this is a new version of what was happening on my site before (text box overlaps HTML box = Improper Arg.)
I've been saving frequently, and now when it happens I keep pounding on the ESC key until the warning goes away and I can have my computer back. I usually don't lose any changes and don't have to restart.

My way around it was to delete the mouseover keys and remove the Google map, then put the map back and the links without mouseover effect. I knew the map was acting up, so who knows if that was one of the issues. The problem stopped completely.

Interesting.... One of my HTML boxes contains a Google map. The text box I was messing with was right above the map.

I've no google maps on my website, but plenty of html boxes.
I haven't had the error since running in compatibility mode for XP, however.

I thought that maybe a hidden clue, but no matter what I tried here with a Google Map, I couldn't get it to produce that error. ;(

I am trying your suggestion, as I am running Windows 7 64bit.
I just wanted to say that oddly enough it runs WAY faster in XP compatibility mode.
