Is this an issue with the designer?

http://www.minerva-consulting.eu/en/

The designer worked fine, I uploaded the pages and the html was all in place.

After much editing, saving and uploading...it suddenly began to make errors. The text would end up aligning to the left (see the link above) - The text is in the right bottom, but aligned to the left.

The graphics have moved to the left too.

If I make a new project, it is all fine. Until again after much editing, saving and uploading.

With the above in mind, is it true that VSD is not good for editing websites? I do not want to build a website then have to recreate because I needed to edit several times.

The page is aligned as Centre

I don't see any text on your page at all. Just a few images.

When I look in Firefox, everything is to the right.
The source code has all sorts of "align left"
Scott, the text, I believe is being referred to, are two links showing in the lower right bottom of the page.

Kriston, Sure you can edit a page in VSD, but it depends on HOW you edit it. I found another set of meta tags in the middle of the code and an insertion of a link to an external css file. You should have pasted the link as Header html, and without the meta tags. Once I removed the meta stuff and moved the css link to the right place, the page looked ok to me.

I have attached a 'before' and an 'after' screen dump. In one of them I didn't bother to download the images, but you can see the place holders for them.

When problems like this arise, it is difficult to edit the file in VSD. I have edited it in the html Editor, so even if I attached the corrected markup, you wouldn't be able to open it in VSD. But let me know if you want the file anyway.

Kriston, I see that you have fixed your site. There is some more markup that you have to remove:

</div>

</body>

</html>

</div>

<div class="Object144"><span class="textstyle0">Terms &#38; Conditions<br>
</span></div>

<div class="Object145"><span class="textstyle0">Privacy<br>
</span></div>

</div>

</body>
</html>

The bit in bold has nothing lost in there.

Thanks for your help! I appreciate it folks!

It seems as though you need a Diploma in VSD in order to tweak certain aspects. It is a little frustrating for a product that claims as it does "It’s entirely WYSIWYG, which means you don’t need to know HTML to create an eye-popping website"

It is fortunate that I do understand html and the lingo. I didn't expect the need to incorporate this with the product.

Anyway, rant over!

For some reason now, the banner will not load to the /en or file directory. Same goes for the horizontal 3px lines.

Have you checked that the banner and those lines are in the correct location on your server? The path in your markup says http://www.minerva-consulting.eu/en/files/ but if I search that path for banner.jpg, it can't be found.

That's right. It was fine this morning. But they are not anywhere in the server.

I removed all the files from server relating to the site as there were more formatting errs occurring and re-published using VSD. While watching the status, it misses the banner among other images.

I am currently creating the site from the beginning to see if this helps. I will create a basic template of the site in VSD to help in future incase of editing errs.
