Dropdown menu behind image

I made a drop down menu in the html css menu builder and inserted it into VSD.
The problem is the drop down falls behind text and images, doesn't matter what's sitting below the menu bar.
I have the menu css file set up as a external file.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
thanks

If you have any text box's you'll have to make them advanced text so you can send them back. The rest of the elements just need to be sent to the back or back enough to be behind the menu.:) I have a site with a CSS menu generated from the HTML editor and I had to do this with all the pages but one. I had one page that VSD placed the text box's at a lower Z index then the HTML box for the menu.:/
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

But, doesn't "advanced text" cripple SEO spiders?

Don't use too many of them, and not for the main text. And since the advanced text becomes an image, use the alt tag for writing some of the text into.

I trying to make a menu tree or drop down menu, and I have made one in HTML Editor, but I can't figure out how to add it to my VSD created site, because if I add with the HTML tool, it puts in a bullet-ed list that has all the information of my drop menu, but is not formatted like my menu, and I can't figure out how to put it anywhere but at the top of the page. I have opened the page in HTML Editor and can add the drop menu there and in preview.... it works, technically, but with the sub-menus behind the graphic at the top of the page, but when I publish it the menu is the bullet-ed list how do I make this work?

Hiya Patty,

Can you give us a link to your published page so we can take a look at how you have applied the code? If you could publish the page from the HTML Editor also we could help with the submenu going behind issue too.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
