Continuing page background fill
Hi,
I wonder if anyone here has had a similar problem.
In the past I have created a background image, say a dark grey fill with a thick white band in the middle. Usually I would set this as my page background on a 1024x768 website, and VSD would stretch it to fill the entire web browser window when opened.
I created a site in March which still works when I load it into VSD. But a new site I am trying to create doesnt.
Instead of VSD filling the entire browser, Im getting just the 1024x768 and the rest is white.
I have continue background fill selected in settings, and I dont use any extra coding.
Any idea to solve this?
Thanks

Also, forgot to mention, this is happening on 2 PCs. One XP, One W7.
Newly created mainly, but something I did in Feb, has now gone wonky on preview as well.

I dont know if this is relaevant, but old VSD templates put the background image at a different layer than the VSD version 7
I now use page tool to enter my background image on first page of a site i am constructing
And then go to settings, background fill properties, and add the image again there (or different image if required)

Right, Think I solved it. I had set a background, and then changed the position to centered. This must affect the background fill!

Got a trick for this, blank page, place all elements on as images, header, footer, side bar, category tab background etc etc etc
Behind that put a solid white background object a fraction overlapping at bottom (for later selection)
Then do a preview, do a save as (with curser on that overlap) , name it template1 to desctop (or wherever)
Then in photoshop or CC web image studio (or similar) select it and do a save for web, it will reduce it for suitability viewing speed etc.
now use that as the background for all pages, top centered you can now have anything you like outside of it, usefull for xmas promotions and winter summer scenes etc.

Under Settings-Background, there's the option to extend the page background to fill the screen

This is brilliant! I specifically like the "Shop" site. Some questions:
1. How did you do the background?
2. How did you do the menu?
3. How did you do the links at the bottom?
Forgive my ignorance, I am an extreme novice. I am using VSD V 7.0, Build 24.
Thanks
