Its getting rediculous!!!!

The site name is: www.badgevideosurveillance.com

V.S.D. locks up or crashes every time we try to:

1. remove or deleate the website via V.S.D.
2. upload to the website via V.S.D.
3. re-sync the website via V.S.D.
4. ERROR's half way thru with uploading
5. Only uploads after 3 to 7 attempts, upon a sudden program crash and reload.
6. We are able to ftp the site and remove our public.html files by hand thinking that this will de-bug or bypass the error in V.S.D. but that wont even help.

We are even closing down our firewalls and all of our anti-virus software before we load, build, edit or upload the changes, this is not helping.

We only have 17 days left before we have to pay and continue using this software and if we can't get it running correctly were going to have to move over to Microsoft Expression or Adobe Dreamweaver CS4....

Will an advance member of this community please give us a hand?

Thanks in advance!

Have you sent a support ticket to CoffeeCup? The Get Support link is at the top of the page. They might be able to help more directly than we can here in the forum. If you can't access the support room, please let us know and we can send an link from this post to a CC support staff member.

Can you provide a little more information please?
Operating system? Did it work before and now it does not? Did the problem occur right away/first time using the software? Have you uninstalled, rebooted, downloaded and installed CC visual site designer...just in case there was an issue with your first download of the program?

The trial software should still be fully functional, but support might have better information if there are any limits.

I'm sure CoffeeCup will want to resolve this for you, so please either contact their support or post more information here and let us know that you need it passed on to someone at CoffeeCup directly, and we will do what we can to help you.

In taking a real quick look at your site, I can see something that might cause the issue. When using names for things like images and page names on the Internet, you should eliminate the spaces between words.
The image, top of your web page, called BADGEVIDEO%20BANNER1%20stage3.jpg Notice the %20 in the name.. The web browser is using that to replace the blank space between words. badgevideobannerstage3.jpg would be a better choice. Shorten that to vid_banner3.jpg and now you have a name that is easier for the program to load, and easier on the browser to figure out. You can use _ between_words and it should work fine.
VSD might be crashing because of something as simple as the names of the images.
If this is the cause, you will have to re-name all of the images used in your website.

Thanks Cliff!

I'll start renaming these files and see how it goes....

But would this cause the program to crash even before it looks at these files?
It appears to be doing so...

Not sure about the program crash..would explain taking several attempts to upload the files. I will see if I can get a CC support staff to help with this. I can see that you are not a registered user, so you may not have access to the support room. If you do, try asking there. I will do the same on your behalf.

We intend to purchase the software as soon as we get it to work as good as Dreamweaver CS4 does. I love the quick and easy setup of this pgm!!

No I do not have a customer account so I'm almost sure they won't accept us as a customer yet...

Thanks again Cliff!

You should still be able to send them a question about the software, using the "Get Support" link at the top of this web page.
http://www.coffeecup.com/help/ or just try that. I did post a link with support to this thread asking them to help. It may take a day (or less) before they respond.
