Hi Shelley,
With wow slider and visual lightbox, in order to preview your work, you will need to use the add files to add the data folder and it's contents as well as the engine folder and contents. When you make the gallery all your images are within those folders basically you already added your images.
You would then need to go to edit>edit header and add the head coding, then using the html tool add then body code. I think I may a small tutorial here.

Thanks for the link to the tutorial, Bruzer. I followed it exactly (I think) and the wow slider isn't showing up when I preview... it only shows the titles of the photos I want to include in the gallery. I am certain this is something I'm doing wrong... I must have missed something somewhere. Wouls you be able to tell me if my header and body is correct? Here is what is in my 'header' (under the 'edit' menu, then 'edit header'):

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN"
"http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>Ocotal to Matapalo generated by WOWSlider.com</title>
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
<meta name="keywords" content="Ocotal to Matapalo, WOW Slider, Making Photo Slideshow, Embed Photo Slideshow" />
<meta name="description" content="Ocotal to Matapalo created with WOW Slider, a free wizard program that helps you easily generate beautiful web slideshow" />
<!-- Start WOWSlider.com HEAD section -->
<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="engine1/style.css" />
<script type="text/javascript" src="engine1/jquery.js"></script>
<!-- End WOWSlider.com HEAD section -->

And here is what is in the body section, in the html box that I put on the page:

<!-- Start WOWSlider.com BODY section -->
<div id="wowslider-container1">
<div class="ws_images"><ul>
<li><img src="data/images/pcsup_1.jpg" alt="pcsup 1" title="pcsup 1" id="wows1_0"/></li>

In my 'Add Files', I followed your tutorial exactly, so I think that everything is as it should be there.
Are you able to tell where I went wrong from this? I'm really starting to think I'm just not meant for this web stuff!!

Hi Shelley,
Although I think you have done nothing wrong, coding looks fine and if placed correctly. I just added a gallery in VSD as well and it did not show up. So I uploaded it to see if it would show up on the server after adding the files and folders, and still nothing. What I ended up doing was using filezilla to upload the data and engine folders to the server and everything worked fine, however I was still not able to preview.

On another note, make sure you named the folders added are correct, for example n your case,
data1 and engine1 make a difference, and was my mistake.:rolleyes:
previews correctly now.

Aaaaa-HA! Yes! That was it! Files were pointed toward a folder called 'data' but the folder was actually 'data1' and it is working!!!!

Wow, thought it would never work. A wonderful small victory! Thank you!

Shelly-
I believe either WoW Slider or Visual Lightbox will create either an HTML file or a flash file. Those will need to be added using the HTML or Flash feature on VSD. However in my opinion Coffee Cups Photo Gallery is a good option to try. It integrates well with VSD, maybe not as slick looking, but you can play with the PG features to get what you're looking for. I use it without a frame for one site to give a slide show, and working on another site to have three small slide shows running on the front page much like WoW or Lightbox would look.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
