Code won't copy on buttons and forms

I've been working on our website and am redoing some of the buttons and forms. Before, I had no problem copying the code after making a button or a form, but now it doesn't copy over. The code is definitely copying to clipboard, but I cannot post it on the page. I'm worried that I'm going to download the site and nothing is going to work. Also, from the "preview" in the Flash Menu Builder, the buttons work (access the web and try to go to the site, which actually doesn't exist yet). From the preview in VSD, the buttons that link to within the website do nothing when clicked.

Also, is it possible to create a paypal button with a form designed in the form builder. And one last question, on one of my pages the background is actually a picture, so it is an object. Will a Paypal button work if I put it on an object?

And one more, on one form, when I'm trying to put it in as a CC flash object, it says it says that it is a non-xml file or the HTML file does not exist. Obviously, it is an xml file since the form builder created it. Does this have something to do with my problem of being able to paste the HTML to the appropriate page.

Mary, which version of VSD are you using?
Not sure about the menu in VSD, how are you trying to put the code into the page? Here's what works for me:
1. create flash item (menu, form...), save as (give it a name) and save in my website folder. Copy the html code and go to VSD***.
2. In VSD, click the Flash tool and drag out a box. A dialogue box will open, browse to your menu file ('my_menu.xml' for example) and select it. That should do it. If you go back to the menu program to make any changes, you can ***copy the revised html and back in VSD, select the menu box, go to Object Properties > Edit HTML and delete the old code then paste in the new code. Or you could delete the whole thing and just drag out another Flash object as before.

For the Paypal button, It seems like it would be OK if the image is in the form's background, or if it's the page background if it was inserted by way of Settings > Background Fill Properties (so it will fill the background, rather than be an image on top of the bkgrd. Maybe someone who's using Paypal buttons can give you a better answer :D

One other thing... you can go to (in VSD7) Edit >Add Files and choose your .xml file just to make sure it's there, and as above; paste your html into the Object Prop. > Edit HTML, but if you've saved your menu/form (with a name - don't leave it under the template name) in your website folder it should be good to go.
