I just added a few more pics and text to one of my pages and now I am getting a message that says my "changes could not be saved". Does anyone have any thoughts on how to correct this? I would hate to lose everything that I had just worked on.

You won't loose anything that was done before, which had previously been saved

Is there by any chance a warning about intersecting mouse overs or similar

Often in VSD if an image is to close to a button, or a link it will refuse to save and put a highlight around the picture causing the message, worth checking

Hi Viv. There is no warning it just takes fits sometimes. I tried moving it away form other objects but the message still kept coming up. I hate to keep saving every little thing that I do as it takes time to save the whole site and there is no option to just save one page at a time. So I copied all of the info I had recently typed and then closed out the program. After I had reopened it, I simply pasted the copied stuff back in and voila! It's now there and I have already saved it.
Thanks as always for your help!

I have had it tell me that i could not do a preview because of intersecting images. The way that I fix that is to figure which one is the offending image and usually can send it to the back. that usually then allows me to do a preview. Do not remember being told that i can not do a save. but when it is not giving me a preview it probably would not give a save either.

Thanks Greg. That could very well be the case. The odds are that this will happen again sometime down the line, so I will make a note of that as well. I appreciate all of the help.

This came up a few years ago, there are some threads dangling around the forums about it.
Holly, do you have the latest version of VSD?

Hi Paintbrush,
I have the 7.0 version. I assume that this is the latest version. If not, I will have to upgrade then. So far, so good today!

Holly, make sure it's 7.0, build 24. If you are up to date, I'd put in a support ticket. ;)

It is the build 24 version. Thanks PB. It's working now so i won't bother the support team but I'll let them know if it happens again as it's frightening to do alot of work only to possilbly lose it. I'd love to save it alot more frequently, but I already have so much content on there that it takes longer and longer each time,so I try to weigh out the amount of content added, to the amount of time spent waiting for the site to complete saving the info. As always I really appreciate your help. I can sincerely say that i have met some of the nicest people on this forum! Have a great evening.:)

Thanks, Holly :)
One thing you might do is keep your latest site on a jump drive or other external drive. If something goes wrong, you can get going again from the back-up instead of losing everything.
VSD creates a back-up file as well, but I like to have all my original files and scripts saved as well (not just the VSD Files folder.

I hope VSD will continue to behave. You could always download it again just in case there was something wonky in the original download.
