Can't get two email links to work...
If anyone has some time, please look at the first (home) page of:
http://www.stbedesantafe.org
Way down at the bottom are two email links. I have checked them five times in VSD and they appear to be valid links to the correct email addresses. I have also made sure that the text box they are in is moved to the front.
But, they don't work after they are published in any of Internet Explorer, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, nor Opera.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

That is because you are using the Advanced Text option. This turns your text into an image.

You will need to disable that option if you want those links clickable.

Strange... I tested this right now. Made a text box with an e-mail link and a bit more text and clicked advanced text. When previewing, the link worked just fine. I checked the source code, and it had not been turned into an image.
Then I moved it a bit by raising one corner, and the 'clickability' disappeared. Checking the source code revealed that now it was an image. I moved the text box back to straight, and lo and behold: the link could be clicked again. It was back to text, not an image.
Jim's text with the links looks straight to me, but obviously there is a real image within the text box, so that must be the reason, am I right?

James,
Nice site. The links do not work in IE9, and as Scott said because your text is an image after publishing. For links like that, I use another shape box with the text inside them, then make the whole shape a link. Even though they are converted into an image after publishing, the shape is a link itself and never fails me.

Well, the guilty text boxes did not seem on this end to be "advanced text."
So, I upgraded to VSD 7.0.22.0 and then re-created the text boxes. The result is that the links now work. The home page looks perfect in VSD, but when it's published, some of the text is now smaller than it ought to be. In general, most text on this page should be 13 px, and the very small text should be 10 px. You can see the awkward gaps in IE 9.00.
Interestingly, the text size is not so bad in Firefox or Safari-Windows, but the text at the far bottom of the home page is still much smaller than it should be.
I'm going to give it a rest, and then I'll re-create the entire home page from scratch, and report back.
(Other pages appear to be OK.)

OK, I've restored the site to what it was, with proper font sizes. To do this, I had to go back to VSD v.6. My main computer now has VSD 7 on it, and I don't know how to bring it back to v.6. Scott, is there an installer for v.6 I could get?
So, I had to transfer my v.6 backup of the site, to a laptop that still had v.6 installed.
I understand the situation with different browsers rendering fonts differently, and have managed that OK in the past. But with VSD 7, it was an extreme difference, but a difference only on the first page. All other pages were OK.
Thanks for everyone's help.

Just open a support ticket and we can send you the installer for v 6.0. Please note that we do not provide any support for anything prior to 7.0 Build 22 as so many issues have been addressed in the latest release.

James, one more thought comes to mind that I had with the change from v6 to VSD7. Some of the files did not come out correctly when opened in 7. Had some issues and finally Scott had me copy the vsd file to a new folder and rename it. Had to open every page for minor edits, re-link any .pdf's, and fix a few links, but problems with uploads and corrupted files ceased immediatly. Did this to another site and found the same thing. Could be worth a try.
Good Luck
