When I click on Help...(PDF) F1 the help pdf file will not load. Would anyone know of anything I can try to correct this problem?

Thanks,
yeto

Make sure you have a PDF viewer installed to view the documentation.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

I have PDF viewer installed and just to verify that it is working I have loaded other pdf files from other sites and it is working fine. A few weeks ago I installed the new version of VSD and I couldn't get it to work properly (my fault) and then I uninstalled the new version and reinstalled the old (6) version I am thinking somehow in that process something went wrong. The software seems to be working fine so I am not overly concerned at this time with the pdf file as I will probably re-upgrade later.

Thanks,
yeto

Is there a link somewhere so that I can download the help file to my hard-drive?

The PDF is already on your hard drive and you can locate it in the C:\Program Files\CoffeeCup Software\Visual Site Designer folder.

I just discovered that I have the same issue. I haven't tried to open the help file since the upgrade, and now it won't open through VSD. Reader gives me the error "There was an error opening this document. This file cannot be found."

I have checked the file location given by Scott and the file is there, and opens fine. I assume there's an issue with either the filename VSD is trying to open, or the file location. No big deal to open it manually, but it seems it is a glitch in VSD.

I only see app -- icon -- manifest files. No help pdf file. Am I overlooking something?

I have app, .dlls, icons, a Word EULA doc, uninstall, and the help.pdf in mine.

When this typically happens, reinstalling your default PDF viewer will fix the problem.

Just curious and trying to learn.

If the file is not there how will reinstalling my PDF viewer help?

Thanks for your help,
yeto
