Can I upload only one page?
I found a forum discussion from 2008 regarding this issue using the then-current version of VSD, but I would like to know whether it's still valid today. In the previous discussion, it was said that VSD uploads only what was changed since the last time the site was uploaded. Is this still the case with the current version?
If not, is there a way to upload only one page, perhaps through FTP? If so, how would I go about doing this?

Melodie - Not sure what upload options you have from within VSD, BUT you can choose to upload a single page via an external FTP. As to exactly where to find the page on your drive, from within that FTP, I wouldn't be able to even begin to tell you. I do know, however, that one feature of using the built-in uploader in VSD, is that you would have a back-up of your .vnu file sent to your server with your site. I'd HIGHLY recommend sending it over when you do the manual transfer via your FTP.
Living the dream, stocking the cream

VSD checks for changes and then uploads anything new
Normally if you add 1 new page it only takes about 30 seconds.
After uploading if any other pages look messed up, do ctrl F5 which clears it up
Every now and then i have noticed that a small change results in a much longer upload time, i think this may coincide with a recent update in VSD
you can use direct ftp to just update the one page you want to, but personally can't see the point in doing that at all.

Thanks for your answers. I'm not going to bother with the direct FTP upload since you have confirmed that VSD uploads only the updated pages.
I'm in the process of creating a site that will have - I'm guessing - at least 60 pages, so the thought of having to upload the whole thing whenever I make a small change was overwhelming.
I appreciate your help!

My delorean site in signature has 35 pages, only thing i have an occasional issue with is having to switch of my firewall to upload, if i have made a lot of changes (ie replaced a button on every single page)
If you get a failure message, switch firewall off and try again, it cures it.

Thanks, Viv. I have noticed that I have to turn off my firewall every time I upload. But I usually forget to do it until I get an error message!
