My partner is very keen to get a scrolling line / ticker line on our webpage.

Something to do regular updates etc.

Any ideas on how to do this??

Thanks in advance.

Kerry - I found one here :http://javaboutique.internet.com/TickerTape/ that I've not tried out yet. I will probably be giving this a look later this week, if I still think I want it on this site I'm working on... Haven't decided yet.

Give it a looksy and see what ya think.

At the risk of sounding negative, be aware that things that move and flash on a page can be annoying to many people and may lead to potential visitors/customers hitting the back button...so best to use them sparingly and only if they serve a valuable function.

I know I get dizzy when I open a page with things moving so I hit the back button pretty fast. Same goes for anything that talks or music.

Not really very helpful am I...:/
I know you believe you understand what you think I said...but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not exactly what I meant.

If it's just a 1 liner then why not just use the html tool and insert <marquee>Text Here</marquee>

:D Bruzer, that'd work.

I hadn't decided how to approach my need. I will have to be able to post an update for fuel pricing on a pretty regular basis. Don't know if I want to go with a "ticker-tape" style, or a RSS, or just plain text. I'll have to play around with it, but I've got a while to decide.

Well as you know I'm sure Phil You could use RSS News as a ticker as well, good idea! ;)
