Didn't I see a post about reading "this" before using the new VSD 7? I can't find it and leery of clicking Save until I know what can happen to my file. It's too large to take that first step and hope it all comes out okay.

Why are you afraid of saving your site? Go ahead click.............:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Because of all the forum entries about it. I have a hundred or more hours in it. I thought Scott or someone had posted something about reading this when you begin using VSD 7.

I just tried a search, but didn't find anything about this. Do you have a folder set up to save your website files in? If so, click 'save as' and choose that folder to put your site in. Now, with VSD still open, go to where ever that folder is and open it. Are all your site files there? Look for the .vnu file and a Files Folder plus anything else you've added to the site (forms, galleries...). You should be able to see all your html pages as well. If you want to be on the safe side - save that folder to an external hard-drive or jump drive.

Now go back to VSD and do whatever you want, and remember to save often (Ctrl + S) :D

Edit... here's some more info about saving in this thread:

Thanks, I'd rather be cautious than have that terrible emotion attached to regret! :/

Hey, Paintbrush -- thought I was the only one that saved the vnu to so many drives!

So that's you waving in the distance, Eric?
Instead of becoming some crazy old cat lady, I'm becoming a hard-drive hoarder.

Prairie - it's easier to experiment and try new things if you know you have a few dozen copies of your site laying around :D

I have backup drives backing up my backups.
That's what I like about VSD. You can quickly change the look of your site and name it something else when you save it then change it quickly, say with the seasons or what ever other reason you can think of.
