Background Dimensions

The website I am creating has 7 pages, each with different amounts of content on them and some of the pages need more space then the others. For my background I am using a gradient fill of red to white from the top down. For continuity sake I would like the gradient to be the same on every page.Also since some pages are shorter than others, I would like to avoid any white unused space at the bottom of the page.

The page dimensions I use right now are width:1200 by height:1000 and this is suitable for 6/7 of my pages. I have one page named FAQ and on this page the text continues to the point where a 1200x2000 dimension is suitable. This page consists of a Menu bar at the top with 7 buttons, a image banner underneath, and underneath the banner is a body of text on the left with a form (HTML input box) on the right. At the very bottom of all the text is 3 HTML input boxes in which I have simple tables (these are separated by 1 line of text each). It is as follows:

Menu Bar Menu Bar

Banner Banner
Banner Banner

Text Text Form
Text Text Form
Text Text Form
Text Text
Text Text
Text Text
HTML Input Table 1 HTML Input Table 1
1 line of text 1 line of text
HTML Input Table 2 HTML Input Table 2
1 line of text 1 line of text
HTML Input Table 3 HTML Input Table 3

I do not want to use 1200x2000 dimensions on this page alone and 1200x1000 on the rest of the pages as the gradient fill will not be constant. When the page is at 1200x1000 dimensions the page only goes as far as the bottom of the Form (in Visual Web Site Designer). Though when I select preview with the 1200x1000 dimensions, the page that is displayed in the Firefox web browser continues on to the bottom of the Text (though it leaves out everything after, including, HTML Input Table 1.

I was wondering why this is the case, Is it because these are HTML input boxes?, and I was wondering if there was a way around this.

PS: I have tried using a different web browser but it does not change anything.
PSS: When I use 1200x2000 dimensions there is a large amount of white space for the 6/7 web pages, whereas for my FAQ page all the content is shown.

I apologize for not being able to provide a link to my website, I have not yet hosted it (though I will be using the GoDaddy WebServer to do so when I have completed.

Thank You,
Mohamed

That's an issue with the HTML box. You have to make your page length match whats needed for the HTML box.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Marcus, I see you want replies to your mail address. It's not good to have the mail address displayed here as this is an open forum, and spambots will harvest what they find. If you want to have it deleted, just say so, and we'll fix that.

@Eric: Thank you, if i cant get around it like that is it possible for me to make the page dimensions larger for the FAQ page but still keep the background gradient the same as it looks on other pages. Also is there an option to use large dimensions on other pages but to leave out empty spaces at the bottom of the web page when it is published.

@Inger: I actually copied and pasted that from my support room post, I wasnt sure if they would reply to that post in the support room or through email. Is there a way i can edit my post and remove my email? For some reason whenever I hit "Edit Post" I get a Error 404 message.

I think you can only edit your post within the first 15 minutes after you posted. You have to have 'magic powers' to be able to edit something later than that.

No worry, I have removed your mail address.

Cheers,
from somebody with those 'magic powers' ;)

Try playing around with an Iframe. You can customize the height and width to make it fit you page.
Just make a large page with your extra long content then make another page the same size as the rest then place this code in that page changing the coffeecup.com for your longer webpage. It might fit your needs.:)

<iframe
height="1000"
width="1200"
src="http://coffeecup.com/">
</iframe>

@Inger
Thank You

@Eric
That does work thank you, though I found an alternative inside coffeecup itself. For my FAQ page I can use the 1200x2000 dimensions. For the background, if you click the "Gradient Color" tab in Page Properties you can add a color break, and as long as you move that around you can get the gradient to either rise or extend.
Again, thanks alot for the help.

Is there a limit on the dimensions of an html object? I need to paste in a lot of content. I have made the page and background longer but the html object won't permit resizing beyond 800x2000. Actually, the background wouldn't resize to as long as I needed it either, but I copied the background and have two background objects. That seems to display OK. I need the html object box to be 800x3500 or thereabouts. And while I'm resizing pages, is there a problem with one page being a lot longer than the other pages? Thanks.
