Hi. I'm a newbie to coffeeCup so please forgive such a basic question, but I can't seem to figure out how to adjust the background color. Would some kind soul please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

Sam,
You may want to take a moment and click on profile and change your forum name to something other than your email address. It may help keep you spam level down.
When you first open VSD, there is a box labeled "page window" and it has a background tab where you can select color.
If you miss that when you have already started a page, click on tools and click on page inspector to get that box.
