A few questions about VSD Themes

Hello friends,

A few questions about Themes:

1-I purchased a set of themes from CC web site not too long ago and they do not seem to be compatible with Version 6. Did Coffee Cup go in a update all the themes after version 6 came out? I would have assumed that would have been the case, although I realize its got to be a pain in the neck to maintain all these themes :(

Scott I had mentioned to you that Miami used a non-web standard font and also was off center in version 6, although the theme was never updated as far as I can see...

2-As far how VSD saves and accesses themes. I would like all my Themes to be in the same folder. So I am wondering, where does VSD keep its themes by default?

Why do you think they are not compatible? You should have no problems opening them in the latest version. Are you getting any sort of error?

Themes are located in the Visual Site Designer\Themes folder

Hi Scott,

I just mean that it appears they were created for an older version, like perhaps version 5.9, because when I open them in VSD 6.0 many of the elements on the page are off-center or even off of the page. (I had mentioned to you last month that "Miami" used a non-web standard font and also was off center in version 6, although the theme was never updated as far as I can see.)

ATTACHED please find some themes that I am not sure about. Miami is the one that I downloaded from CC web site (after version came out).

The others (besides Miami) might be OLDER Themes that are left over on my computer from a previous version of CC. Obviously, if that is the case, there is no way CC could have updated them. :/

Addendum. This forum won't let me attach the themes bc they are 2mb. I guess it only allows 100kb? Can I email them or something?

I just purchased $49 worth of HTML Editor themes (a GREAT deal no doubt), but I actually THOUGHT I was buying VSD themes. That will teach me to buy things with my computer in my lap while I am watching a movie and not paying any attention to what I am doing LOL! Anyways, it seems to me that it would not be that hard to convert the HTML editor themes to VSD themes by simply placing the graphics from the HTML Editor theme folders into a new VSD site, and then placing text boxes and photos in the same places they appear in the HTML Editor theme previews. Could probably be done in just a few minutes per site. Sure it's an extra step, but it seems like it should work just fine. How do I purchase themes for VSD though? I cannot find them anywhere on CC web site.

BTW Bruzer downloading the old CC templates on your website requires a password...

Just purchased a VSD theme night-on-the-range. I downloaded both the file and the pack. I only get one file with a vsdp file extension and nothing in CC will open it. Whats my problem?

All the themes have been updated to a new theme package format. You need to use Visual Site Designer 7 and install the theme through the File Menu.
