CoffeeCup Application Windows Installation Error

  • The App You’re Trying to Install Isn’t a Microsoft-Verified App.

This article will show you how to proceed with installation when you get an installation warning.

When installing CoffeeCup Software on Windows, you may encounter the warning message "Windows Defender Smartscreen prevented an unrecognized app from starting." This warning typically occurs with our newer apps that haven't yet been download enough times to be "recognized" by Microsoft.

To proceed with installation, click "More info", then click "Run anyway".

If you don't see the "More info" link, that means that your PC has Microsoft Defender configured to aggressively block new apps. You can unblock the CoffeeCup app installer as follows:

Step 1: Right-click on the blocked installer

  1. Select Properties.
  2. In the General tab, check the Unblock checkbox at the bottom.
  3. Click Apply/OK.

Another installation warning you may encounter is "The App You’re Trying to Install Isn’t a Microsoft-Verified App." This warning typically occurs for apps that are not from the Windows Store. By adjusting the Advanced app settings in Windows, you can allow the installation of apps like CoffeeCup that are not Microsoft-verified.
