If you get the "Markup Data Folder does not exist!" error when you try to open the HTML Editor, you may have improperly set permissions for the Windows user account you are currently using. Follow these steps to correct the problem:
In most cases, un-installing and re-installing the Html Editor will fix the issue. If the issue persists, you can download the missing Markup Data Folder.
For HTML Editor 12.5 or higher:
- Make sure the HTML Editor is closed.
- Download the markup library here.
- Extract the contents of this folder.
- If you have Windows 11, 10, 8, 7, move the "Markup" folder to this location: C:\Users[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\CoffeeCup Software\CoffeeCup HTML Editor
Once you've completed these steps, the HTML Editor should open normally.
