Hello Bruce
I guess I am the only one with this problem because I am the only one posting on this subject.I still can not get my files to upload I download the new 5.9 yesterday and when uploading it say "The program could not gain access to enter & read the contents of s catalog on your server" what catalog is it speaking of? my public_html permission is set to 750 could that be the problem. and I notice the FTP that VSD use is not the same as the other FTP on other programs like HTML,Photo Gallery, ect.

Hello Bruce
I deleted and install a clean version of VSD it's not uploading but now it is saving a html template file in my local file which it wasn't doing before. I can upload it with my FTP, thats good.

Hi James email me I want to try something off the forum!

have you tried taking all your files off your server, you have the latest and greatet version 5.91 and then upload ?
I removed all my files off the server and reuploaded and everything was fine.

Hello Frank
No, I did not find a solution I have tried everything. what I am doing is saving to a local file and uploading with my ftp manually until someone come up with a solution.

I just got the following from Coffeecup support.... Havn't tried it yet...but I'll let you know if it works..

We have recently noticed that some of our customers have had some trouble uploading with the new version of Visual Site Designer, Our developers have looked into this and have found the source of the problem, and they are working to very hard to correct it. Until they do we have created a temporary fix, you will need to first make sure that Visual Site Designer is closed, then download the zip file at ( http://www.perezcreations.com/vsd_ftp_fix.zip ), extract the zip file, then run the "Registration.dat" file and simply click OK twice to install the two necessary files.

If you are still not quite sure how to do so, this quick video should help. ( You will need Quicktime to view the video )

I just did the fix and it worked fine. I ended up having to do it the manual way. But just read the readme file in the zip, it tells you exactly what to do.

Coffeecup support is awesome! They always come through.

James who you hosting with may I ask?
try adding / in the www slot or public_html
give those a try please....

behr in your www slot in VSD you would put /public_html

What should I put in the www slot in VSD if Godaddy.com is my host?

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
