I didn't even know Coffee Cup HAD an affiliate program.
I have Google ads installed on my DisneySubmarines.com web site, which is heavily trafficked in my opinion. Gets around a thousand unique visitors per week, but I only make $200 - $300 per YEAR from my Google ads. That's because, even with what I consider to be heavy traffic, only a small percentage of people actually click through the ads. For the whole month of December I made a total of $3.73 in Google ads and for January, so far, I have made a total of 99 cents! Of course when the Submarine ride first opened at Disneyland I was making $10-$15 per DAY in Google ads, but that was very short lived. Didn't hurt either that CNBC.com did a story on the Submarines and linked to my website! I believe that's where most of my traffic came from during the time I was making all that money:

There ARE sites that make six figures on Google ads but those are sites that provide dynamic content or that provide services so the same people have reason to visit the site multiple times in a day or week.
My DisneySubmarines site has lotsa great content, but someone can experience the whole site in 2-3 hours and then have no reason to come back because the site is not updated frequently.
