Windows 7 stores profile settings where?

Hi all,
I had been using Free Direct FTP 4.2 with Windows XP, but that PC died. I still have the drive, and found in another thread (which I cant find again aargh) how to locate the SharedSettings.ccs file which stores the profile settings (encrypted). I was able to find that file from old drive and have it saved, and was able to find the same file on the current drive (running Windows 7) to replace it, but it made no difference. Would anyone be able to shed any light on retrieving the profile settings from an old drive?
I cant boot from that drive, but I can access the files.

Greatly appreciated if anyone can help,

Jill

I was almost there, had copied the old SharedSettings.ccs file to desktop of new PC but when I tried to overwrite the new one (yesterday) it didnt seem to work. But did today. You are a life saver xx

I think its time I upgraded :)

Edit - just purchased Direct FTP, thanks again Scott
