I had WAM configured just right, but because I needed some upgrades on my ISP's server, I had to move the whole web site to another server. I have re-installed the website and now I cannot access the protected page. It just keeps asking for the password and then defaults to an Authorisation Required page.
The page is at http://www.hampshirepolicechoir.org.uk/scores.html and I have created a Guest username with the same password.
I am using Windows7 Professional 64bit with WAM v4.0 build 214
I see in the root of the web site there are 4 files .htaccess .htaccessold .htpasswd and htpath.php This last file I don't recall seeing before!
I do notice that in the left panel of WAM after uploading to server a replica tree of folders and files has appeared under scores.html
Any ideas how to cure this please?
Geoff
I attach a file to show what I mean about the tree of folders and files apparently appearing below the protected file
Are you protecting your whole site? Try UN-protecting the root and only protect everything below that.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
