Eric,

After hours of trying to get my form on the web, I came across your code and it worked perfectly! I agree with the other poster (Marcos) - the code generated by the software only works outside of Wordpress.

Thanks a lot!!

Check the articles, there's a step by step one that takes you through how to add it to a Wordpress site.

The wordpress integration of coffee cup forms is very poor and complicated. It really should be easier to use. I've spent hours and still can't get it to work and the advice place in folder where you pages are stored is just plain misleading with Wordpress. It seems that pages and posts are stored in a table not a folder, so not quite sure how to place this code inside a table. It seems that others are also having this issue with wordpress so its not just me.

I agree with you. We should all go to Wordpress and express our issues with form integration. They make this to hard to add outside content.:)

did you already read this article here? Not sure how accurate it is, but it was posted not too long ago so I'm going to assume it should work.

The process is actually extremely easy and the instructions make it look harder than it is. All you do is place the contents of the _exported folder in the same location of all the Wordpress PHP files and then paste in the markup into a page or post and that is it. In your support ticket, I even took your form and put it in my Wordpress installation (over at Godaddy) and it worked.

The issue you had was nothing with Form Builder or Wordpress. You have a server incompatibility where the server did not meet all the requirements to use the software. That has nothing really to do with the setup being complicated. If the server does not meet the all requirements, it simply cannot function.

I'm new to Wordpress too. All of this is a bit confusing, as almost every folder in a Wordpress installation has php files, and I am unable to locate a single folder with the name of any of my pages.

Nonetheless, there is actually a very simple workaround to this problem. Simply upload the contents of the "_exported" folder anywhere in the Wordpress installation that you please. For organization sake, I created a folder in the root, and named it "forms". Then I uploaded the contents of "_exported" into that folder. The key to the problem is to then edit the script that the Form Builder generates. You must edit the paths of the php and html files that are called, to the absolute URLs of those files, rather than the relative paths that the Form Builder generates. Paste the edited script into the Wordpress page, update and test it out.

I tried this after much grief failing to locate the folder where my contact page is located. Voila! The form is embedded in my Wordpress "Contact Us" page, and it works perfectly.

Hope this helps.

Most of what you have done or tried to do to make it work is covered in that article. Albeit some of it is covered in one and some in another part of that article hehe, but it's all there as far as I can see. The last section of it covers the need to alter the file paths in the script that you mentioned. Not sure if you saw this or if you tried it and it didn't work, but....

If it didn't work in some way let us know exactly what steps you took so we can check it and see if it does the same for us too then we can get the CC guys to alter the article to correct it if needed. From what I see in the article though, it's all in there just not all in one spot as you posted. :)

I read that article, to which you linked, before I posted. Unfortunately, I did not scroll all the way to the bottom and read the last reference to "hacking" the generated script. That "hack" is almost exactly what I did. The difference being that I simply edited the generated script and changed the relative paths calling the "formname.php" and "formname.html" files to the absolute URLs of those files. The "hack" simplified further by editing the script to call only the "formname.html" file by URL. Same solution, but slightly different script.

By the way, the really cool part of this solution is that it doesn't even matter where on the internet the "_exported" files and folders are located. I uploaded the "_exported" files and folders to an entirely different server and, obviously, a different domain. The form still shows up, embedded in the Wordpress page, and it works.

NOW THAT'S A COOL APP! (pardon the borrowed accolade).

I have been playing with the trial version of Web Form Builder and seem to have worked out most things I need it to do. I intend to use for data gathering with Wordpress but have yet to cross that bridge, however, I can see no obvious way of getting submissions to appear as 'posts' as well as being stored in a database.
