Do this as 0 is January.
var curr_month = d.getMonth()+1;

what is the the JQ for getting the value from a date picker?

jQ("select[name=mydropdownname]").val(''); I don't plan on using it now but tried and couldn't get it to work so curious

I had found the reference to using date and datepicker; neither work.
