Hi everyone,

I have tried fixing this issue on my own but I'm not getting the results I'm looking for. (And I've looked through and tried some of the suggestions on the forum.)

My email notification from the web form doesn't look right. I just want a simple email with the form results but what I get is this:

<table style="width: 100%;"><tbody style="vertical-align: text-top;line-height: 30px;"><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Name:</td><td>Kristi Gulley</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Email:</td><td>kristi@gulleymetalservices.com</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Phone Number:</td><td>3037890386</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Message:</td><td>HeLP!</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Submitted On:</td><td>2016-06-08 06:33:30</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">IP Address:</td><td>71.196.193.154</td></tr></tbody></table>

So then I tried editing the template again and this is what I put in the code:
You have received a submission from your contact form! <br>
<br>
[Name] <br>
[email7] <br>
[PhoneNumber] <br>
[Message]<br>
[_form_results_]

This is what came in the email:
You have received a submission from your contact form! <br>
<br>
Kristi <br>
kristi@email.com <br>
3033333333 <br>
HeLP!<br>
<table style="width: 100%;"><tbody style="vertical-align: text-top;line-height: 30px;"><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Name:</td><td>Kristi Gulley</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Email:</td><td>kristi@gulleymetalservices.com</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Phone Number:</td><td>3037890386</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Message:</td><td>HeLP!</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Submitted On:</td><td>2016-06-08 06:33:30</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">IP Address:</td><td>71.196.193.154</td></tr></tbody></table>

Can someone please help me get this formatted correctly!?

Thanks!

Hi Kristi,

Can you provide us a link to the form. Maybe in this case a couple screenshots of what you are trying to achieve.

Steve,

The form looks great, it's just the email that I receive when someone submits the form is all messed up.

That being said, here is the link to the site if you want to check it out.

Thank you!

Ok sent a test. I didn't get a verification email. Can you take a screenshot of the email you get where the formatting is messed up. Also I would adjust your confirmation message on your website. It is very hard to read that grey font. I would change it to white.

Steve,

There is no confirmation email (they didn't want one to go out).

This is what came in the email to me:

You have received a submission from your contact form! <br>

This is a test message.<br>

Posting the code in here doesn't help me help you figure it out. You need to articulate what you are seeing (Screenshot) and then show me what you want it to look like (another screenshot)

I would go back and redo your email template with an existing one. There must be something corrupted.
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Steve,

Here is a screenshot of my email.

All I want is for the coding to NOT come through on the email. Just the data that the person inputs when they use the form.

Does that make sense?

This recently started to happen to one of my client's form messages.
<style type="text/css">
body {background-color: #f9f9f9;padding-left: 11%; padding-top: 7%; padding-right: 2%;max-width:700px;font-family: Helvetica, Arial;}
p{font-size: 12px; color: #666666;}
h1{font-size: 60px !important;color: #cccccc !important;margin:0px;}
h2{font-size: 28px !important;color: #666666 ! important;margin: 0px; border-bottom: 1px dotted #00A2FF; padding-bottom:3px;}
table{width:80%;}
td {font-size: 12px !important; line-height: 30px;color: #666666 !important; margin: 0px;border-bottom: 1px solid #e9e9e9;}
td:first-child {font-size: 13px !important; font-weight:bold; color: #333 !important; vertical-align:text-top; min-width:10%; padding-right:5px;}
a:link {color:#666666; text-decoration:underline;} a:visited {color:#666666; text-decoration:none;} a:hover {color:#00A2FF;}
b{font-weight: bold;}
</style>
<h1 style="font-size: 60px !important; color: #cccccc !important; margin: 0px;">Hello,</h1>
<p style="font-size: 12px; color: #666666;">
Someone filled out your contact form, and here's their message:
</p>
<div>
<table style="width: 100%;"><tbody style="vertical-align: text-top;line-height: 30px;"><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Name:</td><td>Callie Daffos</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Email:</td><td>ccallie@swbell.net</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Phone:</td><td>3148095628</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Your Message:</td><td>This is a test message</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">How much is 3 plus 4? Please spell your answer::</td><td>seven</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">Submitted On:</td><td>2016-06-29 13:54:53</td></tr><tr><td style="font-weight: bold; width:30%;">IP Address:</td><td>108.69.50.184</td></tr></tbody></table>
</div>
</body>
</html>

Could this have anything to do with PHP versions on the server?

He also sees this if he tries to send a message from the form on his own computer:
"Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed."
(he uses Gmail)

Could these be related, or are they 2 separate issues?
