Hi Willian,
Can you post the code the formbuilder provides for you to paste into your page and the domain your using?
I can't hear what I'm looking at.
It's easy to overlook something you're not looking for.

Thanks Scott. In the CC code on my contact-html page I see the many references to the "exported" folder. This is why I have deleted and re-created everything. Can't figure out why the code generated for insertion is retaining this path. Would you suggest perhaps creating an entirely new form and starting from scratch? The only change I made to the code was to add a <div> at the bottom of the page to include a link back to the index page.

I wouldn't have thought you need make a new form,, I would have thought better to make a new page, then export your form again,, and this time put everything where it says to put it, without editing anything (on the original page it seems to be that the "start of Coffee Cup Headers" has got some other link references in-between.

Also on your original page there doesn't seem to be any .CSS styling or any reference to the viewport stuff (except for in CC WFB main

Ah-Hah! Perhaps a clue?

It was my understanding that I had to create a new HTML contact page on which the form would reside. I did so. The only code addition was to add the return link at the bottom. After the form is exported another HTML page by the same name is created and located in the subfolder under Exported. This page is replete with the long CC code section you are seeing on the page on my server. So now I have two HTML form pages with the same name, but different coding. Easy to see where this could create confusion if you are having any difficulty getting the form actions to execute properly.

Confusion arose when I first uploaded and tested the form, and it did not function as expected (due to my having uploaded the "exported" folder itself). I surmised that I had misunderstood the instructions and perhaps should have uploaded the HTML form page generated by the CC software instead of the one I created myself. I ended up with two HTML contact pages. The one I created, residing in the root, and the other in the [form-name]subfolder. In all the confusion and experimentation I somehow ended up with the body code being swapped around.

This begs the question - Why is a "same-named" HTML page with the form on it generated and placed in the Export's subfolder?? I realize now that it must have a secondary function, but when one notes there are two HTML form pages with the same name, a question of possible conflict arises. Sorry for all of this, but I am knowledgeable only in CSS/HTML.

This is why you use the iframe code provided by the form builder. The scripts that it uses will render the form correctly along with the confirmation. The form renders if you go directly to the myformname.php as you see but it won't work correctly as you can test if you submit it. There's nothing wrong with using iframes. If you don't want to use an iframe then you would have to grab the html from your actual form and add it to a page in the correct location and adjust all the scripts to point to the correct location for submission, css, href's, and src's. The use of an iframe makes this process unnecessary.

Not sure why you went that route William as the software never says to do anything like that. Here is what you get when you export your form:

You just paste that markup into any EXISTING page and upload the files and the form will appear. The reason there is an HTML file in the folder is for people that don't want the form embedded into a page and simply want to link to it.

Thanks for the help. Got everything working now.

"The reason there is an HTML file in the folder is for people that don't want the form embedded into a page and simply want to link to it"

If I had understood the reason for the other HTML file, I might not have gotten into trouble. If that's somewhere in the manual I didn't see it. Having used your earlier version of WFB, I just scanned the manual.

BTW, I would have liked to have had the option of a more plain Vanilla response page available as one of the ready-made options.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
