I'm with Chuck on this one. Can we keep politics and religion out of these forums please. Its never going to end up in a happy way.

Everyone is certainly entitled to his or her point of view. Your misguided pity doesn’t do me or the casualties of war any good. Honor the innocent and dead if you will, just as the soldiers do. Nobody hates war more than they do. Open minded people have dreamed of a world without war since the beginning of time, and will continue to do so until the end of time.

I won't get into the politics because it upsets me too much but I think it's appalling that US soldiers are expected to buy their own cups of coffee on their own bases? Outside the base, I can completely understand as they would be entering a private business but I don't think it's a good morale booster for the powers that be to treat their own soldiers like paying customers.

The military has contracted with vendors to service the various installations. Military dining facilities are still available. Many of the vendors are Iraqis who sell their products on base.
