Tassie,
Not sure I can add much more than what has been added. You really need to decide what you want to put up with? How much hassle or opportunity are you willing to deal with?
Personally, I have offered these types of services for awhile now and wanted to offer a one-stop shop. So, I found a company that I felt gave me the best deal to give my customers a great deal. They were the only ones at the time that offered unlimited data, e-mail, and a generous package of other services including 15 domains and unlimited sub-domains.
You can check them out here: ixwebhosting.com
They are probably not the best deal, right now. But they are competitive and I have always received great support. I get 3 free domain registrations through them, but they are not the best deal for offering all domain name registrations, so I use
http://www.aitdomains.com/?domainreg for that.
They also have been around for longer than 10 years and offer very competitive rates.
Make sure you document everything. Especially contract related items. Most customers do not really know what they want, until they see something to compare it to. Then they change their minds. And that is fine, except, you need to have it documented so that you do not get messed over after the change.
Usually, they will think you should give them whatever services or time, up until they really know what they want, as a free service. If you have everything documented, then you can keep them on track.
Also, James and Eric, I reside in Northwest Ar "kansas". Not too far from Ya'all. Around here the favorite saying is, "Get 'er done".
