I was a little intrigued to see if typing in shopping cart software or programs, to see if Cart Creator came up in top ten in google or yahoo.
A bit dissapointing as i could not find it in first three pages in either.
Just the sponsored links showed up, and not very clearly.

Surely by now it should be in at least the top ten ?

or am i missing something.

I think whats even more disappointing is that top 10 reviews didn't list it in the top 10 for 2010. I don't even think they reviewed it. I wonder why? Maybe the pro version will get more hype.

Interesting point (I think... :/)
Of course, when I Google "shopping cart creator", it's all CoffeCup...
Googling "shopping cart software comparisons" shows a Wikipedia tabular comparison as the top entry. There are 38 programs listed in the tables (and there are lots of tables), but the CoffeCup programs are not included... Quite surprising, considering the exorbitant prices (with setup fees and monthly fees) that are charged by those that are included in the comparisons!
May be worth it to take measures to increase the SE visibility.

According to my SEO addon for firefox, CoffeeCup scores a 9 out of 10 on their page rank (same as Amazon.com). So, now I really wonder why they can't get their name out there for a general search like "Shopping Cart System"? :/

Maybe we all need to get out there and tell others how good it is...lots of mentions in other forums and maybe write some articles. :)

I originally evaluated over twenty different types of shopping cart solution looking for an alternative to Zen Cart and only found Cart Creator by a sheer fluke.

I have already suggested to Coffeecup that the product and in particular the forthcoming pro version, need to be marketed far more proactively.

Although we are all fond of Cart Creator, getting into the top ten is a major challenge, as there is some pretty impressive competition out there, that also has its own dedicated band of devotees too. :/

The basic version would be unlikely to achieve it, but the pro could well make it into the top ten - one day, although do bear in mind that the pro product has not been released yet and needs to get established outside of the current Coffeecup arena and that's going to take quite a while.

Getting it listed with the companies that are providing the payment modules would be a good start. That's one of the things that I noticed when I was setting up Paypal and Google payment modules, neither of those 2 sites have SCC listed on it as an affiliate cart system which would help a lot I would imagine.

I think some of that may have to do with PCI compliance Jo Ann. Many of those carts listed work with PayPal Pro which needs tight security criteria in place. Even the forthcoming pro version of Cart Creator in its current guise, would be unlikely to meet the new stringent PCI requirements that have just been introduced and many of the partner solutions on PayPal will only remain listed on there by legacy.
