I know that there are many free forum packages available on the net, but the forum that is on this website has a look and feel that is easy to follow and would match nicely with the shopping cart software.
I would suggest that a program be developed so we can all run our own forums using CC software.
Some say it can't be done, while others are doing it.

That is a great idea! I love the idea of a forum system designed by coffeecup, it would be simple to maintain and use. :D

I agree, I am a forum fan and hope to incorporate one eventually. With the way CC has a la carte software that is integrated to the main site design software it would be a great add-on.

I agree! In fact, I logged in today JUST to suggest coffeecup design an easy to use forum creator. I think it is a great idea!

I too agree. I was going to suggest that today as well. I think some of the features should include: direct posts or moderated options, registered users and/or non-registered users, survey options example: rate service 1 - 10, friendly 1 - 10, results would appear plus have a space for comments, survey options would be customizeable like a "forum", be able to list links, emails, user profiles, user names, all with click options as to what would be allowed. Or maybe a basic forum software with modules available if you need a more detailed program... ie; pay for the options you need. Of course as with all the CC software, you end up with more extras than you pay for in comparison to competitor software. :) Plus CC Software is more user friendly backed by awesome support.

I agree with CC software being user friendly Rick! I am playing around with some of the free open source Forum software, although it is easy to download and install...it's a pain in the butt to modify and change the layout if you don't have a lot of experience with php etc. I'm learning as I go, but it's just so time consuming! Free is good, but with my beginner's knowledge I'd much rather save myself 3 days of work and just spend $29-$49 on a coffeecup program that pretty much slashes the learning curve!

Forums and Guestbooks are great if you can control who uses them. I have used open source forums and guestbooks on my site, only to have them spammed by anyone and everyone. One thing I have come to find out is that it is not easy to go back a month after and have to delete postings one at a time. If you guys develop a program, please keep this in mind!

FYI, I don't want to password off these types of apps on my site as the number of potential viewers would make it hard to manage that way. I prefer an open forum that can be controlled easily.

Forums and a guestbook would be both great applications for CoffeeCup. As a new user and currently in trial of software, id love to see an application for this.
