We have an online store that features uniforms as well as corporate logo apparel and other merchandise. When an employee orders items, the uniform items are shipped by a distributor and the rest of the order is shipped by a local office employee. Can the shopping cart separate the order into 2 and send each distributor only his items?
Our current store does this by tagging certain items.
Our current store is also OLD and get's broken with each new security patch that the linux world issues which is why we are looking to migrate to a new platform.

The store software cannot do this for you that I'm aware of. I think in order for you to do this you would have to create 2 separate stores for each of the different locations you want the emails to go to. Pretty sure the store settings only allow for one email address as the email address the orders go to. The software can't differentiate between different items and different email accounts it gets sent to basically.
