Web site is pnmd.net. OS is Vista. Registered version of HTML EDITOR is Build 305.

Web site built by designer who donated the code and I, a newbie, am trying to update and correct it.

All of a sudden, as the Thread Title says, the PREVIEW TEST cannot find my default browser (Firefox 3.5.5), "The specified file was not found" is what I am told.

Why isn't it recognizing FF? And how do I correct the problem?

Also, I added additional browsers in the "Test in Browser" drop down. They're not working and I would like to delete them and start over. How do I do that?

Go to Tools > Preferences > Browser Testing. There you can add/modify your whole list of browsers and the locations of their respective executables ([browser].exe).
The default browser should, however, have been recognized automatically.

("donated" the code ??? - You mean "made a copy" for you?? :/)

Thanks for the information. I have entered Firefox as Additional Browser 1, since clicking on the Default Browser tells me that it cannot find Firefox!

David very generously donated his time and knowledge to build the web site for our Parkinson's Support Group. He has since become very busy and another member and I are trying to finish it up and enter the text to bring the site current.

Alan,
I am still a bit baffled by the default browser not being recognized. I trust your workaround will get you what you need for the moment.

Sorry about my flippant remark! No offense intended, but uncalled for nevertheless...

I would have to concur that something got a little messed up with my browser default also about a month ago. I also don't have a clue what fixed it so I'll assume I rebooted my computer and that fixed the problem and exercized another ghost out of my computer lol.

Anyways what happened to me was it all of a sudden defaulted from my normal default browser being FF and started opening IE for default browser instead. Never figured out why, couldn't change it back etc. but it just fixed itself on it's own so I would suggest rebooting your computer if you haven't tried that already. If you have then I am very sorry, and I wish I knew what else to tell you to try :/

Your default browser should work when you install html 2009
First of all try to reboot your PC.
If that fails try installing html editor again.
