HTML is not working correctly. Support suggested uninstall and then reinstall.
Guess what, Coffeecup HTM editor does not uninstall!
I would not have expected this from a product that has been around as long as this editor?
Any suggestions are greatlt appreciated.
Cheers

Inside the folder there should be an app that is just called 'Unwise'. That is the uninstall application.

Jerry, a little more information is always a good idea when throwing something like this out for help. Are you getting the 'Cannot open Uninstall.log' or similar error? If not, what is happening when you try to uninstall? What operating system are you using? What is the capital of Mongolia?

Hi Jerry
Dave is quite right let us know your operating system. I have uninstalled and re-installed the editor several times as CC have announced new updates on both XP and Vista with no problems.

Thanks for the response. OS: XP PRO SP3
I was using a program I have used for sometime Add Remove Pro.Except for a few programs it always uninstalls the program(s). In this case , the remove application window shows large red 'X' for the program. If the uninstall runs correctly then the entry in the remove app window is gone.

UPDATE: I just ran the reinstall again and it (CC) appears to operate better.
Thanks for the help.
One issue I have not been able to address is that when viewing in favorite browser it always brings up a previous link not associated with the web site I am working on which is located on the hard disk. I don't see where I can select I can select a browser either.

I did request a refund which you can't get so I will continue to try and use CC :(

Thanks folks,
Cheers

Hi Jerry
I assume your using the new release of the html editor. If you go to tools then preferences there is a tab browser testing. This here you can select which browsers you want to use to test your html. I works fine for me using XP PRO SP3.

So, just so I understand, you requested a refund because some third-party application wouldn't uninstall the editor correctly? That seems a bit harsh. Not only is there a 30-day trial version so things like this can be tested, if the built-in uninstaller failed to do the job then you would have cause for a complaint (and a support ticket). But to blame Coffeecup because some other unknown app (which is probably causing the problem) doesn't work? Did you request a refund for that one as well?

If anyone goes through the admittedly-comprehensive editor options they would soon find out where and how to set the default browser (which I believe is also covered in the help file). Also, your browser opening with the last site (link) visited is a function of the browser (which can probably be set in that application's options) and has nothing to do with the editor.

Dave.

"Unwise.exe" still gets the "cannot find install.log file" message.
