Cannot Seclect Text in Visual Editor...

Just got this answer to my ticket. Thanks

This is a known issue that only affects Windows XP users and seems to be tied with IE8. Our developers are looking into the cause of this so it can be correct in the next build. Unfortunately we don't have any workarounds at this time.


Anyone got an old copy of editor 2008? :(

That figures I am on XP.
However I tried Phil's suggestion and got it to work as a a workaround.
Before you type any text if you select the insert and move the text icon (its the top left marked with a "T" extend the text box using the handles then type text inthe box. You can then select the typed text and apply other attributes eg bold.
This may give you a suitabe workround for time being
