I ran into this same problem. I installed CC2007 Editor and this is the message that I got.
This problem occurred because a program you were running tried to access DHTML Editing Control for Applications, which was created by DHTML Editing Control for Applications. DHTML Editing Control for Applications did not come preinstalled in this version of Windows.
I installed it and everything worked fine. Then I installed CC Editor 2008 and this is the message I got from both Editors...
A recent Microsoft security update for the DHTML Editing Component has been detected.
This update (KB 891781) causes the Visual Editing portion of the Coffee to run improperly.
Therefore the Visual Tab will be disabled.
O.K. now I know where the problem is "DHTML Editing Control for Applications." I uninstall all 3 programs and install the first 2 again and everything works fine again in the CC Editor 2007.
Reading up on this on the Internet, Microsoft says Coffeecup is not compatible with it and CC says it is. Go figure. I will stick with CC Editor 2007 until this is fixed.

Hi all, I had this problem to and got it solved thanks to Orlando Perez
Customer Support Specialist at CoffeeCup.

I followed this link:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/deta … laylang=en

Downloaded the msi-installer. Running the msi I selected the Repair option
and now the editor works just with the Visual Tab active.
