VSD - Downloaded Templates From CC...

I am having difficulties with utilizing the free templates offered on the CoffeCup site. I have downloaded them, extracted them into the VSD templates folder, but I cannot get them to load in the VSD program, I can migrate to where they're located, but all I have are all the individual files, instead of just one file to choose. I'm sure I'm missing something simple here, but what are the exact steps for downloading these files?

Thank you much in advance!

Did you download free templates from the CC site recently?? I thought they had been taken down...

anyways, those templates are most likely for the HTML Editor. They can't be opened in VSD. Only if there is a .vnu or .vns file, they can be opened in VSD. Sorry...

Hi, and thank you for your response. I did download them just today and according to the download/install directions at the top of the page they were for VSD, specifying that you had to have VSD installed and running to use the templates. Perhaps I accessed an old page? Anyway, they don't work in VSD that I can tell. :)

The additional templates available in the link above are saved as a .vnu & related files, much like you would save your own projects. This being the case, you have VSD open the .vnu file of the template of choice and you should be good to go. They will not be able to be added to the "New Website Using Templates" option where the original templates are accessible.

trukker, this can be done, however all photos images, and anything extra you may have made will need to be sent to the other person, and they'll have to also search for each image or object when they open the project because the directories will be different, for instance when saving a VSD project you saved it in My Documents and the other person placed it in Images folder. just a little extra work on their part but can be done
