I'm not sure if this thread is still current, but I'll post a little about myself just as a way of introducing who I am.
My name is Tony and I am from South Australia - a town, about 200kms north of the state's capital, Adelaide, called Port Pirie.
I have had a fascination with computers since about 1993. I have dabbled in web design for a few years and built quite a few sites - more by accident than any specific programming skills!
I mainly used MS Frontpage (MSFP) to design my sites because I liked the option of viewing code whilst building using a wysiwyg editor - easy to switch between the two. I always knew that sites built with MSFP were somewhat limited as the program doesn't provide for every website situation. Nevertheless, i have always been comfortable with it. Until recently (when I updated my computer) i have used MSFP 2003. I thought it time to upgrade MSFP and found I could not find it anywhere, so begun researching other software - this is how I found Coffee Cup.
I downloaded the Visual Site Designer trial version and found it very easy to use. I also downloaded the form builder and found it very easy to embed forms into my site - much easier than MSFP. I am about to purchase full versions of these programs and start using them full time.
I also like the look of a few other CC programs and will look into them in the near future eg the Shopping Cart Software (just not sure what version yet as I cannot really tell what each does differently).
I will no doubt pop up on different threads here until I get more used to the software, but from what I've seen, I am confident that everything I need to build good websites is available right here - i hope so.
