RegEx/Password Fields in MailChimp

Hello,

I'm making a follow-up from this thread which is posted in the General Forums :

http://www.coffeecup.com/forums/welcome/equivalent-mailchimp-fields-for-regex-and-text-area-elements/

I may have a workaround for this but i wanted to clear it with high-end users :

As stated let's say we have a ZipCode field which requires a RegEx rule to be validated in the form. You cannot pass this data to MailChimp as it's not considered as a number, text or any kind of MailChimp type of fields.

So my idea is to copy the input of this field as a number field into an hidden field in WFB so we can match this hidden field with the one in MailChimp and then pass validation. This ZipCode is just an example as i have numerous of RegEx fields (First Name, Last Name....) that must be converted prior to be pushed into a MailChimp's List.

Is this possible to create something (maybe an HTML element) that can help doing so ? If not, is there something that can help for this to work ?

Thank you for your help
Best,
D*

This would be done either with an outside validation script or using Jquery to post the values to inputs that are hidden.
This thread would be the one to follow.
