Multi-page forms and fields height -...

I read somewhere that multi-page forms could be created with the new Web Form Builder, has anyone tried that yet? I'm trying to make my form take up less room on the page. I temporarily gave up on trying to modify the field heights, as I have not located all the right values to change and make it look right ... I wish it was simpler to accomplish.

You could try something like this...

Just make the forms on a transitional layout.

I did an example and published a different form over it. CC is working on that feature for the next update. I told prism I would find it and republish it.;)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Can't wait Eric. I find I am up to my armpits still learning php and next will be the JQuery, Your back yard.
I liked your concertina example. Trouble is a guy finishes up with lots of tools then has to find a project to use them on.
I noted your advice on getting a form on Wordpress and have some work to do on the real deal. Your site is one of my favorites very informative. Glad to see you too SirAGE are following in the masters footsteps.

My skill is more towards programming. Only use enough html/css to load a page.

Nice work!! ... but for some unknown reason I am having a hell of a time receiving an answer on my questions.

On the Web Form Builder page, it clearly states "Take advantage of multi-page forms (because mega-forms sometimes need to be split up into chunks)." ... I am thinking that my form can have a next page to it ... before the submit button. I have not found anything that lets me break my form into chunk ... anywhere.

And again, why are the field height adjustments only available on a few of the elements ...SCOTT??!

Surely I can't be the only one who thinks that this option would have been useful on the other fields. I realize that I could change the CSS code for some of it ... once I spend a few days trying to figure it all out. Hazy posted a couple of tips that really helped ... thanks Hazy. It would be nice to see someone at CC pass out some tricks.

It just bugs the heck out of me that I can't figure out an easy way to make all the field heights the same ... the height of the drop downs throws the look of the forms totally off ... why are the drop downs half the height of the other fields anyway?

I started using CoffeeCup software because it was very user-friendly and you didn't have to know a lot of code to get quick results.

Starting to miss the Flash version of Form Builder ...

As far as multiple pages are concerned it clearly states that it's coming soon.;)

The field heights for the text can be altered in the css. Otherwise play around with the top and bottom padding to get the text field option more aligned to your liking. You could make it a suggestion in the suggestion area.:)

I see that now .. my bad. I guess I should have looked at the "what your form will be able to do ... in the future" column http://www.coffeecup.com/images/bbcode_ … s/wink.png

As far as the field height goes, I should not have to go fool around with the CSS the get an option that is already an option on other fields and the padding only goes so far. Overall I do like the new Form Builder, nice and clean.
I still think the damn drop downs look silly small ... or the other fields too big. There seem to be a lot of wasted space on the form. I could pack twice the number of fields in half the room in the flash version.

Onward to learn form design ...

Easiest way to know is to watch the color of the check marks next to the features on that long list of features on the Form Builder page. If they are yellow, they are still in production and haven't been released yet. When you see green there, start jumping for joy! LOL

I agree that multi-page forms are important. I bought it assuming the multi-page capability would be available soon versus months or years out.

Also, I bought form builder because I didn't want to have to master PHP or Jambla. I am trying to get stuff into production and can't keep learning every new language or script.

I purchased WFB thinking the Multi-Page form would be 'Coming Soon' as it says on the Feature Road Map. We have waited well over a year for this update but have come to the place where our business needs this feature right now. Is there any word on when it will be available? If it is not in the next two months I will unfortunately have to look else where.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
