Does anybody have a date for the new version? My customers are screaming for new forms as the ipad and iphone become more popular. I have begun using Tectite for now.

I think (and don't hold me to that :D) that rumor had said by the end of the month...

Actually, I just read this post and it looks like we do have to pay for the new program (unless you buy the pack that is currently on special and get it included. The pack is $29. I just bought mine yesterday)

You can buy it now Sue, as you get upgrades for free. :D

I bought it today to start playing around with it, waiting in anticipation for the update to the html version. :)

Suggestions:

I would like to be able to have a little design control on the input boxes. They appear to be a solid 2x boarder, with a 1x boarder on the bottom. I'd also like to change the boarder colors to suit websites. Overall a great program.

That is actually for the release that is coming out soon... Since the new program is not Flash based, it is not considered part of the existing program. So basically you are pre-ordering.

So they are updating Flash Form Builder but it is not going to be released as an update, but a new program? Really?

Not updating FFB, releasing a Non-Flash (HTML based) Form Builder.

That is correct. One is on Flash and one is in HTML. It is a complete program re-write. Compare the feature list here:

Thanks kristin. I was aware of this a few days ago. :)

I'm waiting to see if there will be an upgrade price as I'm not interested in anything in the megapack, otherwise I like what Inger has done here:

http://www.eikweb.com/kontakt.php

and may do something similar.

It's about the same deal as Shopping Cart Creator and Shopping Cart Creator Pro. Adding more features and calling it a new program with no free upgrade for existing users.I was disappointed when that happened, but at least the new Form Builder is cheap enough that I bought the mega-pack. Even though I already own the software that came with it, the graphics, PDF book and promised themes with the new Form Builder made it a value to offset the price of the new program.

Guess I just don't see the problem here... They are separate programs, and are being supported and updated. Some users don't need the FULL functionality of the PRO edition, just like some Win 7 users don't need the FULL functionality of the Ultimate edition (but yet people don't complain that MS released 6 different options, when you consider that you HAD to choose between 32 and 64 bit, and can't switch back and forth even).
