Adding a percentage to the Form...

I am in the process of setting up a payment form page using Paypal as the Third Party Gateway for a Charity (mountain rescue), so that the Team members of the Charity can pay for goods/services received from the Charity.
It is proposed that the 'fees' of 1.4% + 20p per transaction charged by Paypal are charged to the Team member - therefore is there any way I can set this up so that the additional amount is automatically added to the Form Total/Cart Total. It is anticipated that the form will have a 'number input field' for manual entry of the net amount to pay.
I've searched for any topic that may be relevant, but without any luck. I would be grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction.

I would look at a little JQuery to do this. Do either of you have an example form?:)
I can't hear what I'm looking at.

Sorry - have not set up the form yet.
But, it would be a simple form with just one field ie. the net amount the member wishes to pay.

It's 20 pence in sterling - same sort of thing as twenty cents.

Just to clarify, You want to get your total then add a 1.4% fee to it then add a .20 fee to this total?

the 20 pence is easy, just add that part to the price of the item itself. This way all you need to worry about is the 1.4%.

Apologies - I didn't make it very clear. Paypal fees for charities are 1.4% of the transaction total + 20 pence.
So, I'm not sure how to set up the automatic percentage addition on the Form Total/Cart Total on the form.

Have something to add? We’d love to hear it!
