Someone called me last week from Omaha, and told me an interesting story. They had a website that they had taken down because of a lack of business, but they still had their facebook page. One day they decided to put a funny pic on the fan page, and they got a lot of likes, so they put up more. They also brought back the old website and added the pics there as well. To make a long story short, they went from having a little over 200 likes to 60K within 3 months, and the fan page was linked to their website, and it was now receiving over 1 million hits per month. They were contacted by advertisers for their website, and they requested info on a VPS or dedicated solution because what they had was not working any longer. I think they found someone else, but I think it is still an interesting lesson about how powerful a social media trend can be.

Rod my friend, social media has taken a giant leap on the moon. There is no boundaries to where the companies can take it, as long as they have likes and are promoting positive vibes it's a good thing. social media is the new age television.
