The split view works fine, but when I test a link that opens a new window it defaults to Internet Explorer. My PC default browser is Firefox (which I prefer). How do I change the Split View default browser?

The program uses IE as the default for the Preview Window all the time Grey, sorry, but you can easily setup browsers to open the windows to preview in in the Preferences > Browser Testing tab

HTML Editor will use whichever browser you have set as default in your system as it's default browser...

Yep, the IE rendering engine is the only one the HTML Editor uses. Gecko, the Firefox rendering engine, has some experimental forms for being embedded in other applications, but one is equivalent to what was used in Firefox 1.x, and the other, while almost up to date, can still render things differently than the real Firefox, so support for them is rare.

I've always disliked this problem, as I do not want to test external links in IE. It keeps me looking for another HTML Editor that works with Firefox as the default.

I like the ie rendering because it allows me quick access to ie rendering since i have my default browser set on firefox I can compare the two quickly and make any changes necessary for browser compatibility. :D

Trying to see the positive. :)
