Microsoft is bugging me a lot with Vista an Office 2007. I loose too much time learning what i knew to do from years ago.
Any of you had tried CoffeCup on a Linux Enviroment? I have installed at one of my machines Ubuntu 8.10 and is working pretty well but i would like to maintain my CC software. I'm looking for a solution diferent from a Virtual Machine.

I have tested one of the CC products (can't remember which one now) with WINE on an Ubuntu system with success. I would LOVE to see full Linux support from CC soon. But unfortunately, I tend to stay in the Vista side of my dual boot system more and more lately. I'm going to end up putting a second system on my desk with dedicated Linux, and this system as a dedicated Vista (as much as that pains me), due to school requirements.
So in short, give WINE a try, since it worked with one, I assume it would work with at least MOST of them.
Who needs sleep?

I will try with Wine.
I had before installed a Virtual Machine and install a XP copy but i was not happy with that.

I recently tried CoffeeCup HTML Editor 2008 on Ubuntu 9.04 with Wine and while the install seemed to complete successfully, the program would not run citing an "External error" with a dll file.
Unfortunately, my only solution under Linux at this time is using the Bluefish editor and FileZilla for FTP. I sure wish CoffeeCup would work for me, but I guess my alternate solution will have to do for now.
Soon my school will be moving to a web content management system that will make it a moot point anyways.

I use ubuntu linux part of the time and trying to get vmware player to work with giving me internet access, but its not reconizing my ethernet card and not for sure what driver it needs for the virtual machine. I have tried installing my wifi drivers and that doesn't seem to work.

What distribution are you using? If you try Ubuntu 9.04 you might find that to be a solution for you. I just installed on a few machines this weekend and it found all WiFi and even the Verizon dongle with no problems. Who needs sleep?

Im using ubuntu 9.04. The driver support for it is excellent and it worked out of the box on my hp laptop. The trouble is with vmplayer and getting internet access through my XP vm.
Incidentally, I really like wubi for ubuntu installs. It partitions and installs ubuntu as a windows program so if you need to get rid of it, you just uninstall it through windows. I love Coffeecup and VSD!: http://mylife.coffeecup.com (add /stream to the url see boring pictures)

I was running CC on Ubuntu with wine or whatever they call it with not too many issues. The only box I have right now with Ubuntu is my server toybox,, cause i couldn't get my video cards to run for dual monitors..

Update: There have been some updates to VMplayer to make it more user friendly, and now works great. This allows running windows in a linux environment. I run windows xp in ubuntu and all the cc programs installed work properly. VMplayer is free(as in free membership required).
