Hello, my name is my wife and I run separate businesses in TN. We both put up our company sites utilizing CoffeeCup software and would like opinions and visits from those interested. I run a recording studio and my wife runs a essences company which she started with candles and will be adding to as it succeeds. This is just my extension to the community to check them out. Thank you.

Not bad Tony. I am not a fan of the site counter though. By default if the design is well done, most people think the site is visited often, by you displaying your actual numbers it may discourage the user.

Just some website psychology for ya.

Ya I agree with Eric, in the early days of the internet web counters were good for webmasters to use to see how much traffic a site was getting, but now their inherited inaccuracies may do more harm than good, and besides much more meaningful info can be gleaned with your server logs and Google webmaster tools.

Nice sites.

Have you tried putting your wife's store in a central position on the page?

I have nothing against site counters if you are able to block out your own visits from the count - but I don't care to see them on the site. The hidden ones are ok for your own consultation, providing - as has already been mentioned, you recognize the limitations of their accuracy.

Thanks for the advice the counters gave me a way to separate my page counts on my two sites, however I do see your point and they will be removed. Secondly, George, I use GarageBand for my podcasting at the moment. Anybody have any really advertising advice because I don't really feel that I'm getting the most people to my site, but just don't understand all the advertising hooplah.

Hi, Tony!
Kudos to you and your wife for taking on this new adventure! I hope you exceed your expectations :)
My own opinion is that your banner on the dusk to dawn home page appears to be a little distorted. Is there a way to scale it down a bit so that is does not look like it is stretched from side to side?
Also, I feel that the text on the candle site is a bit big. When I read it, I kind of feel like I am in kindergarten again. If this is the effect you are looking for, that is great, but I envision this with a little more of a classy, grown-up, yet fun feel to it.

There you have it! I hope my feedback helps you see things that you may not have looked at before.
Rock On! Y'all have done a great job.

When I add site counters, they always get stuck on 1,834,254 from day one. Don't know why that happens???
