I do a lot of web building for lodging entities. Currently, several of these entities use a online program called webervations. Since CC does have shopping cart software, is it possible for CC to make a reservation/calendar program for booking online and would be put on the individual's server.
Just a thought.

I would also be interested in some pointers on something similar. I have a client that wants me to design an online table reservation system that sounds rather similar to what Rick is requesting.
I'm kinda thinking that CC software alone won't fulfill this completely, but would rely on a backend/backoffice databse system like MySQL and using PHP coding, but I could be wrong.

Yes a reservation/calendar type software by CC would be great. I would certainly purchase it.

I use loads of flat file scripts so MYSQL is not needed.

As above, I would be very interested in buying software that would allow on-line booking for holiday websites that's as easy to use as all the other CC software.

Hehe - I had so many customer requests for booking systems i wrote a php mysql one - availability calendar and all... Sells well 
An easy CC one is a good idea - they're popular

A similar program that I would be interested in is an online appointment software in which prospective clients can schedule their own appointments based on a immediately updated calendar. Once they did fill in their slot, a notifcation would be sent to to the prospective client and the professional who would be seeing the client.

yes appointment and booking systems are things that our customers regularly ask for. Would need to be flexible so that could be used for hotels/car rentals/appointments. A great idea!
