Ever since I upgraded to 5.3 today, sitemapper locks after finding 70-100 urls with 50-70 left in queue. :/ I have to use windows task manager to kill the process. Make sure your home is

Hiya Joel,

Can you give us a link please so even the CC team can try your site with sitemapper and see if something might be wrong there.

Also, which version of Windows are you using, and if it's Vista or 7 are you using any compatibility settings? Jo Ann

I would say uninstall it, make sure the registry entries for it are cleaned up and reinstall it Joel. I just ran a sitemap for your site and it finished without any problems so it's definitely on your end somewhere. Maybe it just glitched at installation who knows :) Jo Ann

I don't think it is a problem with the software as it took less then 2 minutes to map your Website. I would think more towards what Jo Ann said is correct. Probably a bad install, low system resources, anti-virus/firewall or the bloody DEP/UAC that Vista so kindly installed for us ;)

Try adding our software to the DEP exceptions list and see if that helps any.

Uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times to no avail. How do I clean up the registry and/or add the software to the DEP exceptions. Solaris is my forte, not windows. Make sure your home is

try downloading ccleaner, that's a pretty good registry cleaner which you can get here:

Use that to clean up any residue and such. I am not sure on vista how to add exceptions sorry. Jo Ann

Might try this first to make sure it's DEP causing the problem:

Here's how to set specific exceptions rather than nuke DEP entirely (assuming the above test showed DEP was the culprit):

Turning off DEP made the lock occur instantly. The task manager shows 50% CPU utilization after lock, which tells me it is sucking up one proc by itself. Registry next... Make sure your home is
