I have had 2 people give me their API information that caused an error on their server and it worked perfectly on our testing servers. This shows that the API information is valid but the hosting provider does not meet the minimum requirements. All we can do from there is refer to the server requirements document at http://www.coffeecup.com/help/articles/ … -software/

For another customer when they changed the 0.00 item to 1.00 it worked and no longer generated an error. So it seems there are actually 2 issues but not really related to one another.

Most of the time the error seems to be related to the cURL libraries on the server.

Most of the time the error seems to be related to the cURL libraries on the server.

I have to say that all the problems I am having are most definitely linked in with this issue. My server continues to point me to a Merchant Banker every time I ask for the cURL libraries to be installed. I have attempted to get a different answer from them using a couple of different domain names, but each time they just point me towards the online banking organization.

Hi there...we noticed this problem ourselves and found a solution If it helps you.
On the Paypal receipt they copy the first line in the title of the product.
So If you want to know what the customer ordered put your own reference to the product on the Main Title of the product.Only the Main title gets sent to Paypal.
See what I mean?
Title of Product : Polo Shirt :Colour : Blue Size: Small.
Or Polo Shirt ("your reference Number here")
So that when Paypal sends you the E-Mail you know which Item to send.
The buyers E-Mail address and buyers address are on the Paypal receipt.
If they require it sent to an altenate address put a note on your site telling
them to add it to the Paypal comments box.
Cheers...Terry

Hey Folks

OK Seems everyone side steps the issue of what was sold and who is the best candidate to send or get the sales information from, with respect to a vendor's POV.

I use PP and AN. With AN I get diddly from the vendor's email, PP I can decipher what was sold. I personally do not like going to merchant accounts to get the order information, as it really slows independent folks like me down, especially when I have multiple streams of sales coming in from a handful of merchants.

I went to CC because I liked the ease of use and their abilities to put up good looking stores rather quickly. The price was right for the time being. I use other e-commerce solutions as well.

In the source code checkoutans.cls.php (strictly an AN file) you set up the message to send info to the merchant with order details. The data collected and sent within this php call would be very valuable to the vendor (cart owner) via an email during every sale. I am sure that this would not be hard to do with an option or two in the admin area. I also know that the data would not be relied on for a sale, since we would still need the confirmation from our merchant, but this is a slick way to appease a larger number of us who would like to make our daily life easier and of course, promote CC products.

I don't believe the php would be that extensive and we do pay for the product, it's not donate code.

Peace
Bill

So I've read through a bunch of OLD posts looking to find out if I can get some ORDER DETAIL from Shopping Cart Creator Pro (which I purchased and installed this week!). I am NOT seeing a clear answer.

I am using Authorize.net as a payment gateway and they do not provide any order information to me without a HUGE hassle (having to log in to check each order). Checked out that route thoroughly before coming here...

I have the inventory features set up as well and see that there is a Reference code for each order from Authorize.net as well as a SCCP (or it may say OUR Reference Code) Reference code #.

What is this number used for if not to store order information?

And if it does store order information then how do I access it?

And of it does NOT store order information what is its purpose?

I am pretty worried that I will be struggling with this lack of usability which will make me very frustrated with a product that is otherwise really slick....

Please tell me that there is something I'm missing and that there is a solution...

Bottom Line: I want to know if I can gather order detail from the originating source, my own shopping cart?

and if so, HOW?

Thanks,

Patty

tick use transaction logging, under ;; your shop ;; inventory

once you set up password etc, it lists your orders (in SCCP) (not sure about basic)

Then go to actions view transaction log (top left)

But it gives you details, but no purchasers address or anything as thats not on your server

Paypal, and google do this very efficiently for you, including printing delivery notes etc. which is at present what CC are relying on.

It looks as though there should be more information coming back from gateway, but in my account i am not seeing anything

Hi Guys I have just set up my cart and got my first couple of orders, I got all the information from the paypal email copy below name and address deleted for customers privacy. As you can see all the details of the purchase are there including the delivery address of the customer. I do understand about needing something where you can go to get information about orders in the shopping cart. I am concerned about the inventory side as I need to check if it has been updated. But I have used a number of carts over the past 5 years and if you are just selling physical products then coffeecup is a great cart, easy to use and upload. I have downloadable products and because I live in Australia and most of my customers are in America, the download is something I am trying to work around, people want downloads immediately and I understand that will let you know if I work something out.
